Photo license
Copyright & usage terms · Updated October 8, 2026
In short
- Photos you bought are yours to print, keep and share with family and on your personal social media. Credit isn't required — but we'd love it if you mention us: tag @aniasportsphotography or add “Photo: Ania Sports Photography”.
- Photos received free through a club or a complimentary account are shared with credit.
- Not for commercial use without permission, resale, AI training, or removing the watermark or file information.
- Questions, licensing or removal requests: reply to any email you've received from us.
1. Copyright
Every photo on this site was taken by Ania Sports Photography, which owns the copyright. When you buy a photo, or receive it free through a club or complimentary account, you get a license to use it as described below — the copyright itself stays with the photographer.
2. Who the license covers
The person who bought or downloaded the photo, the athlete pictured and their immediate family. It can't be sold or passed on to anyone else.
3. What you can do
- Print at any size, at home or at any print lab, for yourself, your family and gifts. This page is your print release — show it to the lab if they ask.
- Share on your personal social media and in messages to family and friends. Photos you bought don't need a credit, though a mention of who took them is always appreciated (section 7). Photos received free through a club or complimentary account are shared with credit (section 6).
- Use as a profile picture, phone wallpaper or in a personal photo book.
- Recruiting: use photos of the athlete in college recruiting profiles, highlight reels, a personal athletic website and emails to coaches.
- Make light edits — crop, straighten or convert to black and white. Please don't add filters or retouching that change the look of the photo while it carries the photographer's credit.
4. What needs written permission
- Any commercial use — advertising, sponsors, business marketing, or products for sale such as shirts, banners or fundraiser merchandise.
- Selling, licensing or giving away the files, or posting full-resolution copies for others to download.
- Use by newspapers, magazines, broadcasters or other media.
- Removing, cropping out or changing the watermark, copyright notice or the information embedded in the files.
- Using the photos to train, test or prompt AI or machine-learning systems, or to create synthetic images of the athletes.
- Entering the photos in contests or presenting them as your own work.
- Any use that mocks, embarrasses or misrepresents the athletes shown.
These uses are often possible — just ask first.
5. Watermarked previews
The watermarked photos in the galleries are for viewing and choosing only. Screenshots and copies of previews aren't licensed for any use. Sharing a link to a gallery is always welcome.
6. Clubs, teams and complimentary accounts
Club and team accounts may use photos of their own teams on the club's website, social media, newsletters, team banquets and slideshows, with credit. Sponsor material, paid advertising and merchandise need permission first (section 4). Complimentary accounts follow the same terms as a personal purchase, with credit when the photos are shared.
7. How to credit — required for club and complimentary photos, always appreciated
- Instagram, Facebook and TikTok: tag @aniasportsphotography in the post.
- Websites, newsletters and print: Photo: Ania Sports Photography (linked to aniasports.photography where possible).
- No credit is needed where there's nowhere to put one — a print on your wall, a phone wallpaper or a private message.
8. The photographer's use and removal requests
Ania may use photos she takes in her portfolio, on her website and on social media to promote her work, chosen with care for the athletes. Galleries are never listed in search engines. If you'd prefer that a photo of your child isn't shown publicly, or want it removed from a gallery, reply to any email you've received from us and it will be taken down.
9. How long the license lasts
The license doesn't expire. It ends for the photos concerned if an order is refunded or charged back, or if these terms aren't followed — in that case please delete the files and take down any posts.
10. Questions and licensing
For commercial, media or sponsor licensing, larger prints for clubs, or anything not covered here, reply to any email you've received from us.
